Sponsorship plaque for the volunteer work of Kuchenmeister
On Wednesday evening, the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia, Herbert Reul, and 13 other companies from North Rhine-Westphalia presented the award for his commitment to the voluntary fire brigade. The “Voluntary work in fire brigades and civil protection” promotional plaque is awarded to companies from North Rhine-Westphalia that support volunteer fire brigades, technical relief organizations and aid organizations in a special way.
Kuchenmeister is a family business that has been rooted in Soest for generations and has been supporting clubs, schools, social organizations and the city itself with products and financial contributions for many years. In this context, Kuchenmeister is also a supporting member of the Soest youth fire brigade and also enables the fire brigade to hold large-scale exercises of all kinds on its premises. Bomb disposal operations in the north of Soest have already been coordinated from the large production site and the site has been used as a meeting point for the fire brigade and ambulances. Kuchenmeister is in regular contact with the Soest fire brigade, be it to exchange experiences on building security or to use the latest digital radio technology. Many of the employees are members of the Soest volunteer fire brigade.
“Without your flexibility, your understanding and your willingness to help, voluntary work in civil protection would not be possible at all,” said Reul to the companies at the award ceremony in Düsseldorf. “They provide support for the helpers and send a clear signal: The common good outweighs your own interests!”
